Pretending

I expected something big on Tuesday. Like a huge rumor out of somebody's bloody mouth.
But, no. There wasn't any. Nothing about what happened or anything related to Saturday.

Or maybe nobody knew what happened. Nobody had any idea about Saturday.

I didn't tell. Of course I didn't tell.
But, you. That good friend of yours, didn't you tell?

Maybe you did tell. Just your good friend that did not tell.

Why am I hoping for a rumor? I have no idea.
But then, it's nice to have a rumor with somebody I like. Maybe I can pretend that it's true..
